Australia is where it all began, back in 1949 when Rolly Tasker opened his first sail loft in Claremont, Western Australia. Operations continued in Australia and other various locations, until Rolly Tasker finally moved his ever-growing business to the huge, purpose-built sail loft in Phuket, nowadays still Rolly Tasker Sails global headquarters. Now, well over 60 years on from day one, Rolly Tasker Sails Australia is thriving and expanding. Summer is fast approaching in \u201cDown Under\u201d and, with vaccination rates climbing, everyone is looking forward to a great summer of sailing.<\/p>\n

Sam Newton Gone Sailing<\/h2>\n

Meanwhile, summer is slowly slipping into autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. However, the Mediterranean racing circuit is still going on, as fast and furious as ever. And just as the orders are pouring in for the upcoming southern summer of sailing, as Rolly Tasker Sails Australia Director Greg Newton points out, his co-Director Sam Newton has headed off to Europe for 6 weeks to compete for Australia in the international Sail GP class on the F50 foiling catamarans in both St Tropez, France and Cadiz, Spain. And if that\u2019s not enough, in between events he is joining Phil Robinson aboard the Team China Persico 69F foiling catamarans in Sardinia to keep up his fitness. We look forward to hearing about his impressions and what ideas he can take with him that may also help in the future development of Rolly Tasker Sails overall.<\/p>\n
