Rolly Tasker Sails… standing the test of time. Don’t just take out word for it, let our clients tell their stories.
Another successful delivery to Rolly Tasker Sails UK on nice winter day at River Hamble. This time a beautiful Contender CDX 7/5 stepdown Cruising Laminate Genoa and CDX 7 2+2 battened Mainsail fitted to a Beneteau First 33.7 this weekend. A very happy and excited customer waiting for the weather to improve so he can go sailing and enjoy his new Rolly Tasker Sails!
Your wonderful sails arrived on Friday and we were able to sail train with them on Saturday and raced offshore with the Sunday. They all fitted exactly and have fantastic shape and are FAST! We were first on IRC on Sunday, and second on handicap. We had lots of great comments from fellow competitors who all wanted to know how we obtained the sails. Of course we told Them! Once again. Thanks so much.
I can’t tell you how pleased I am with the new jib sail you made for me. Over the last two months I have been on a journey to the north, to the southwest coast of Sweden, north of Gothenburg – what a stunning sailing area it is. Having said that I can’t tell you how delighted I am with my new sail that has performed brilliantly in mixed conditions and has certainly improved the speed of the boat by one knot. At the same time it looks very good. The whole trip was over 2,000 miles which I think is just about the longest I have done. I just wanted to thank you and tell you how delighted I am with your new sail. I think I might possibly see you at southampton boat show next week.
With kind regards
We have ordered a Performance Tape Carbon (PTS) jib made in the Rolly Tasker Factory in Phuket and it proved to be an excellent choice. Sails came really good and we have won 5 degrees upwind, the sail is really stiff and light and easy to trim. I reckon it is a very good sail for racing with a very reasonable price tag. The factory has been very responsive to my request , we have decided to build a 68 sqm2 mainsail using the same technology which will be used in the Royal Langkawi Regatta in January and we will feed you with pictures.
Just a quick note to say thanks for the great sails you’ve delivered for my ’98 Com-pac 19XL
The full batten loose foot main, 110% RF jib and 140% RF genoa all fit perfectly and really made the boat come alive. The cuts on the headsails are just right..not too low and not too high with good furling performance. Last month I had the opportunity to sail with several other similar Com-pacs with experience sailors at the helm–we outsailed them all with ease–were able to point better, had less pitch and roll in waves, better speed and better control.
They are holding up great too, after almost one season of sailing once a week, they still are practically new. Better than I can say for others I’ve used in the past. Also they arrived exactly when you said they would. Excellent product, excellent service..I’ll be using you again!!
Cabaret 5 – Mainsail: It all worked well on Thursday morning and I collected the sail without problem. We used it yesterday and it looked certainly super – it’s smaller on the roach particularly at the top but I think it looks better. Everybody was very admiring. The boat was absolutely clean as well and we achieved 2 good second places – one well sailed Platu disappeared into the distance in both races leaving us to scrap with the pack.
Excellent quality, great cup and highly competitive price – Thank you again!
I received the sails. Your work is perfect. Thanks for all…
Thank you for your prompt quote. I have received a number of quotes and you appear very competitive in fact a lot less than some of the others.
Thank you very much for taking care of all the participants in the regatta. Yanneke Too and myself would like to make a special thanks to you and your staff. If it were not for the extra time and effort we would not have been able to accomplish what was needed this week. Again thank you for taking care of us so promptly.
We have just left Guatemala and just wanted to drop you a line to tell you that the sails are perfect. Thanks for all your help and patience. Maybe we will meet one day.
Dear Rolly, Once again we would like to thank you for your help and support during our stay in Phuket. As usual, you have shown us great service, prompt time keeping, professional conduct and impeccable work standards which we have come to expect from your company. Please extend our thanks to the staff and management of Rolly Tasker’s. We look forward to doing business with you in the near future.
I am pleased with the quality of materials and workmanship as well as the fit. AND your company was about $200 cheaper than anyone else I could find, on the internet or otherwise. Most sailors are NOT independently wealthy (contrary to popular opinion) and I am spreading the word about your fine company.
Thank you very much for the fast action taken, the last two items is nice to deliver from RTS product line.
Thank you for good work.
Sails are great and everyone seems to be happy!! Received the numbers and slides, thank you.
Managed to fit and try the sails yesterday and all I can say from first impressions is that we are very pleased! The sails set well, much easier to hoist, no wrinkling in the luff and no flapping in the roach. We thought the battens might be a bit light but had a good opportunity to put them through their paces in a good blow yesterday of 15-17 knots with gusts to 18+. Once we all set up we decided to put her through her paces and really push her. The maximum speed we saw was 16.9 knots close reaching in 17-18 knots of wind.
The Australian Beneteau agent sailed on the two Beneteau 57s in France last week for which you built the sails. He said that they were fantastic, especially the tri radial cruiselams on Kinnane’s boat while the furling main on Bakewells was very good.
Received the sails. Look great – thanks very much, good service. Sure we’ll be back for more.
You will be glad to learn we won the passage race (only one other finished some 5 hours behind with higher handicap) also the Pangkor Laut Resort Merdeke Trophy – around Pengkor island. We are also on track to retain the seasons points trophy. Good for Tasker Sails!
Many thanks for the sails sent the other day. They looked great and we hope to be sending more to you soon.
The sail arrived last week and test sailed it on the weekend. We are very happy. Hope to do more business with you in the future.
This is confirmed by (World Record Holder) Jon SANDERS & as said to Rolly on Jon’s return in 1988 from triple non stop circum navigation of the globe (71,023 nautical miles).
“These Rolly Tasker sails were used non stop around the world three times, and they are still in good enough condition for another world circum navigation.” JON SANDERS AO, OBE, CitWA These same sails are now on display with Jon’s boat Parry Endeavour at the Fremantle Maritime Museum in Western Australia.
S.Y. Albatros (Swan 62) still with its original suit of sails and spinnaker from 2002 again won its class over 60 feet in the Arc rally. Albatros has now made 7 Atlantic crossings, 5 of them regattas include the Daimler Chrysler north Atlantic rally and Arc rally 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 winning in 2003 and 2005.
Your sails look very good after 8,000 miles! Looking forward to meet you again this winter in Phuket.
You’ll be interested to know that the mainsail and genoa are branded Rolly Tasker Sails and dated 1963 and 1964. I hoisted the sails on Flying Dutchman class yacht KA-100. They are absolutely flawless. They look virtually the same as the day you made them. Quite a tribute for sails that have been raced for a few seasons during the intervening 42 years.
I recently purchased a new jib from your company. I would like to report that after a 1000nm trip from Broome to the Montebello Isl. I am very pleased with all aspects of the sail. A headsail purchased last year is also doing a great job. Thanks for a great product.
