WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD

Yesterday we went for a shake down sail with the new sails and they look great, we had perfect conditions for testing the staysail with a couple of 20 knot gusts. The only sail we did not try out was the new spinnaker as we decided to wait for lighter winds to try that for the first time. Everything fits perfectly, the sail shapes look fantastic. The sails are excellent, the mainsail particularly is a work of art and has a beautiful shape, so much better than the old one! Please can you pass on our heartfelt thanks to your team at the loft, they have made us some wonderful sails. Thank you very much.

Buying one’s first suite of replacement sails after wearing out the original sails of my Dufour 485 was always going to be a tough decision. In the end, relying on the recommendation of a close sailing friend and some competitive quotes, I went with Rolly Tasker or in fact YachtEquip Ltd. the UK agent, where I dealt directly with Annabel. Using her measurement templates I did all the measurements myself – 3 times! Annabel helped me choose the cloth, decide on cut and advised on sizing. When we “pushed the GO button” the loft built and delivered the sails to Spain in a month. The moment of truth came bending them on and all was well. More to the point, my new sails perform, look and feel great. Wish I could afford a new cruising code zero! – I’d know where to buy it!

Great price – super value – quality sails – A very happy customer :-) Test sailed today in circa 20kts to 28kts of wind in Southampton water. On a reach we achieved 9.3 to 9.5 kts max SOG with tide and 7 to 7.3 kts SOG against – Boat was fl ying along with her new sails. It was WINDY :-) Seriously pleased – Thanks Annabel – Great service and all so simple.

We have ordered a Performance Tape Carbon (PTS) jib made in the Rolly Tasker Factory in Phuket and it proved to be an excellent choice. Sails came really good and we have won 5 degrees upwind, the sail is really stiff and light and easy to trim. I reckon it is a very good sail for racing with a very reasonable price tag. The factory has been very responsive to my request , we have decided to build a 68 sqm2 mainsail using the same technology which will be used in the Royal Langkawi Regatta in January and we will feed you with pictures.

The sail looks beautiful and performed great both reefed and hauled all the way out. The cut is perfect for Solstice and the workmanship on the sail looks superb. I just wanted to send you both a note to say thank you very much. I appreciate everything you both have done to help Solstice get such a nice and well needed sail.

Barry, a quick note to thank you once again for your excellent service. The sails are fantastic, a great improvement on the set which they replaced. Feel like I have a new boat!

Just a quick note to say thanks for the great sails you’ve delivered for my ’98 Com-pac 19XL The full batten loose foot main, 110% RF jib and 140% RF genoa all fit perfectly and really made the boat come alive. The cuts on the headsails are just right..not too low and not too high with good furling performance. Last month I had the opportunity to sail with several other similar Com-pacs with experience sailors at the helm–we outsailed them all with ease–were able to point better, had less pitch and roll in waves, better speed and better control. They are holding up great too, after almost one season of sailing once a week, they still are practically new. Better than I can say for others I’ve used in the past. Also they arrived exactly when you said they would. Excellent product, excellent service..I’ll be using you again!!

I am very happy with my new Tri-radial Offshore Genoa. Rolly Tasker listened to my requirements and designed the sail to suit. It was delivered very quickly and the standard of workmanship was very high with a lot of attention to the fi nishing details

I wanted to tell you how happy we are with our Oday 17 replacement sail. What a sail! Great form and performance. Extras like luffing points and tell-tales, and a sail bag to boot, made this an even greater value. I’ll be a returning customer for sure. Thanks…Mike from Colorado

Derick from DG Marine has helped me replace the Main, Jib and Screecher, his advice has been invaluable. This is my second set of sails from RTS, they also made the sails for my previous Trimaran, they are very well made, great price and the shipping and delivery has always been prompt and stress free. Really great service from the team at Rolly Tasker sails. I ordered the sail at the Southampton boat show, Annabel even measured up my old sail to ensure an accurate copy. I was kept up to date with the order throughout the process, and they even arranged delivery via RIB for my sail! 5 star service and a fantastic product. The sail is great quality and arrived in a custom sail bag. The price was great too, amazing value for a quality sail.

Just wanted to tell you how pleased I am, and how well that Genoa is working. And I am really satisfied with the size and shape. We have had two days of racing with heavy winds, and I seem to be faster and definitely able to sail closer.
Norm – S2 7.9, , Missouri

Dear Annabel I can’t tell you how pleased I am with the new jib sail you made for me. Over the last two months I have been on a journey to the north, to the southwest coast of Sweden, north of Gothenburg – what a stunning sailing area it is. I can’t tell you how delighted I am with my new sail that has performed brilliantly in mixed conditions and has certainly improved the speed of the boat by one knot. At the same time it looks very good. The whole trip was over 2,000 miles which I think is just about the longest I have done. I just wanted to thank you and tell you how delighted I am with your new sail. I think I might possibly see you at southampton boat show next week.

Dirk, Just want you to know I received my new 140 today and it looks great! Also, the issue I was having with my new main is now a “non-issue”, a little lubrication solved the problem. The sail fits great, and the boat sails closer to weather than it ever did. I really love this new main! Thanks again for all your input and help. Rgds Pete

I’ve had a few pleasant transactions now with Rolly Tasker Sails and have found them most helpful. A special thanks to Annabel Shove who talked me through the whole process and advised me on the best sail to order to suit my requirements. In the short of it would I recommend this company, “YES” great communication, a friendly service and I got my sail from the day of order in 3 weeks Top Stars.
Peter S – Trapper 300, Ireland, UK

Hi Dirk, Just a quick email to let you know that we fitted the sail and went for a buzz round to check it out. The performance improvement is amazing. We are just a cruising boat but it makes a huge difference to speed (between 0.5 to 1kt at least), pointing and tacking angle (10 degrees better). Sail is really well made and a good price too. I will recommend you with out fail to my fellow sailors in the marina and round Bonaire. Service, contact info and everything was very professional. Great job. Please pass on my regards to the guys in Thailand too. Cheers ……………

Having just received a new coastal fully battened mainsail from Rolly Tasker I am very pleased with the workmanship and the set of the sail when hoisted. The delivery was pretty fast considering the sail was made in Thailand.
Richard A ‘Pikant’ Bavaria 32, Hamble, UK

Dear Sven, Your wonderful sails arrived on Friday and we were able to sail train with them on Saturday and raced offshore with them Sunday. They all fitted exactly and have fantastic shape and are FAST! We were first on IRC on Sunday, and second on handicap. We had lots of great comments from fellow competitors who all wanted to know how we obtained the sails. Of course we told Them! Once again. Thanks so much.

Rolly Tasker Sails Spain, with whom I have dealt for many many years have always given a really excellent personal service, second to none. The mainsail purchased many years ago was at the time competitively priced, delivered punctually & is still going strong. Their sail maintenance service is excellent too. Thank you

Hello Annabel, just to let you know that the new sails fit great, I think you gave some great advice with the Genoa. We got to Alderney Saturday morning, content 12kns of wind, avg speed 4.8knts. Very happy with that. Ill be in touch in the when I make the mods to the boom and we can get to replacing the main. Thanks Annabel! Great job.
Sam S – Westerly Renown, Isle of Wight, UK

The first opportunity to try the new gennaker didn’t happen until this weekend. For our two-handed crew in wind from 5-15 it could not have been any better. The set was perfect, and the turtle bag and sock made the whole thing flawless. I’m glad that we got the 1.5oz gennaker instead of the lighter full asymmetrical for our shorthanded crew and a chance to use it over a wider range.

Barry, just a note to say thanks for the sail. We managed to run it up yesterday and it looks a perfect fit. It has also been cut flat which is what I wanted. My old boss used to say that the best advertisement was a satisfied customer. Well you have one in Alba Voyager. Many thanks again.

I wanted to share with you my appreciation of your service at Rolly Tasker Sails which is certainly a great team achievement. Recently I purchased a new self tacking headsail for my Hanse 445 which had to be fabricated from scratch as the old headsail no longer existed. Initial doubt and potentially a risk of lost of performance due to a smaller headsail I was amazingly surprised. The new sail fi tted immediately perfectly without any problems. On our 1st sail trip in light winds around 10knts at Pangna bay the headsail performed fantastic and it was a breeze to fi ll the sail with the available wind. Great product, good workmanship and high quality I’m over the moon. Another experience I like to commend was the recent manufactured steering cables for my Hanse 445. I had quite some trouble to source replacement but again you and your team pulled it off. With some measurements given and a discussion of how to tackle the fi ttings all steering wires were completed to high standards in just half a day. It’s a pleasure coming to Rolly Tasker Sails and receiving such a great service to such a high standard, if you don’t mind please share my experience with your staff/team and I shall see you again in the future
