Well made, easy to operate and a gamechanger
We have ordered a number of Code 0 sails now from Greg and Sam at RTS Australia for both company use and client vessels. The service has been excellent, professional and always a prompt reply. The loft is helpful with meeting production requirements and sails are always delivered on time. For a good quality good value sail you don’t need to look past RTS. After sales support and advise is always forthcoming when needed and Greg and Sam come with a huge amount of hands-on experience which goes a very long way. The Code 0 itself is well made, easy to operate and a gamechanger on all the vessels well have fitted them on.

My boat performs amazingly
I ordered a new mainsail, genoa and Code '0' with pole for my Lagoon 380 in Fremantle to replace the twenty year old sails. The ordering process was very simple. Rolly Tasker Sails Australia sent a measurement form to complete. I engaged a professional to ensure these were taken correctly. The new sails turned up as scheduled some weeks later and all fitted perfectly! I have subsequently also ordered and received a new spinnaker. I have now sailed almost 1,000nm with the new rig and my boat performs amazingly! Thank you guys :)

Replacing my main, jib and screecher
Derick from DG Marine has helped me replace the Main, Jib and Screecher, his advice has been invaluable. This is my second set of sails from RTS, they also made the sails for my previous Trimaran, they are very well made, great price and the shipping and delivery has always been prompt and stress free. Our Approach on Catamaran Sails and Trimaran sails

Multihull Sails the Basics

Multihull sailboats like catamarans and trimarans offer unique sailing experiences unlike anything experienced on a monohull. Sailing fast without heeling and having a huge deck area has its charms but also demands a different approach to sail design.

As catamarans and trimarans will not immediately heel over when a gust hits, the loads on rigs and sails can be very high, especially in sudden peaks, before the force of the wind is transformed into drive. Well designed and sailed multihulls also sail at a higher average speed, which increases the apparent wind over deck. In a seaway, when running into a wave, shock loads on the rig and sails can again be substantial.

Especially catamarans have significant advantages as cruising boats, offering large deck and living areas, a stable platform without heeling and very little draft. These boats are often used as charter yachts for sailing holidays, or as long-term cruising homes for blue-water voyagers. In both cases, easy sail handling is also very high on the list of desirable features for multihull sails.

Multihull Sail Design

Multihull sails are specifically designed to boost the unique characteristics of these vessels. Designed for higher speeds and efficiency, theses sails need to be strong and easy and quick to reef or take down. Our advanced sail design fits seamlessly with modern sail handling systems to achieve this. High-quality fabrics ensure that our multihull sails are strong and durable, even under the most demanding conditions. Depending on the type of sail, we use our entire range of advanced, top-quality materials such as strong but light laminates or only the best Dacron available.

What’s Different With Rolly Tasker Sails?
