Sam and Greg Newton established Rolly Tasker Sails Australia & New Zealand back in 2001.
They have an intimate knowledge of the extensive range of Rolly Tasker sails and associated products to best meet your needs. This is supported by their vast sailing experience in Catamarans, Maxi yachts, Cruising Boats and Skiffs, thus ensuring that they understand your needs and can deliver the professional advice and service that you demand.
THE TEAM
Sam Newton is a renowned international sailor and our sail design guru. He has an outstanding sailing resume including two Americas Cup campaigns, line honours and handicap wins in the famous Sydney to Hobart race, the Volvo Round the World Ocean Race, the Farr 40 Worlds, F50 foiling catamarans, plus over 10 Australian and World sailing titles in fleet and match racing including seven 18ft Skiff JJ Giltinan ‘world titles’.
Greg Newton has owned numerous yachts from 23 to 53 feet and been highly successful in harbour and offshore racing including many podium finishes up and down the Australian coast and as far afield as Lord Howe Island and the Solomon Islands, naturally with a wardrobe of high quality and performance Rolly Tasker sails.
OUR LOCATION
We service the requirements of sailors across the breadth of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands through our three key bases. Our sail loft and rigging warehouse is based in Sydney. We also have full branch operations in both the Whitsundays at Airlie Beach, Queensland headed up by Dave Morris, and on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, headed up by Derick Warne. This enables us to provide an extensive range of services to support our customers in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, and ensure a professional and seamless experience.
