Know-how About Sails

Our Ready-Made Sails Concept – Best Price, Best Quality

Asymmetrical Spinnaker Gennaker Catamaran 5

Our sails are individually designed, cut and made. But not every sail that we make. For good reason, there are exceptions. Downwind sails and storm sails can be produced in standard sizes and fit perfectly on nearly all modern yachts from 20–65 feet. So that’s what we do. We pre-fabricate these sails in standard sizes.

Our ready-made sails concept takes advantage of the following:

  • large sail-loft with free capacities in off-season
  • ordering high amounts of sail cloth for a lower price
  • producing standard designs lets us speed up the sail-making-process
  • all this results in lowering our cost per sail
  • while relying on our expert sailmakers to ensure high quality and happy customers

Your Advantage

  • you just pick your size and colour (star design or mono colour – no colour-picking with storm sails, though)
  • we take the ready-made sail off the shelf
  • you get your new, perfectly fitting, high quality sail in no time
  • you pay much less than for a custom designed sail

Read-made Heavy Weather Sails

Our pre-fabricated storm sails are all made to withstand extreme conditions.

  1. Storm Jib Classic storm sail in bright orange in robust cross cut with extra strong corner reinforcements to be set with hanks on a dedicated, inner stay.
  2. Trysail Classic storm sail, extra tough in cross cut with heavily reinforced corners. To be set behind the mast either in a dedicated track, in the mainsail track or hanked-on to the mainsail halyard which is taken down to the gooseneck and tightened to make a temporary stay behind the mast.
  3. Gale Sail Special type of storm jib that can be set over a furled foresail. Easy to set without the need for a dedicated stay and with the added advantage of further securing the furled foresail. Gain, made in heavy duty specification in bright orange.
